Imphal, August 04 2024: Writers' Forum, Imphal released three different books in a function held at Manipur Press Club, here, on Saturday.

The function was attended by Art & Culture director K Dinamani Singh as chief guest, Forum president Keisham Priyokumar as president and Art & Culture deputy director Gurumayum Dhar-madas Sharma as guest of honour.

The three books included a Manipuri Short Stories translated into Mao language by Asoso Kholi (Pijii) under the Chief Ministergi Artistsinggi Tengbang (CMAT) being implemented by Department of Art & Culture; Haobam Priyokumar's short story, 'Wari Heiron' and Irom Tomba Singh's short story 'Ithoudanggi Wangmada' .

On the other hand, an audio cassette, "Ireipakkidamak", was released in a function organised by Angom Salaai Production at its Thoubal office on Saturday with SKL chairman Salaaicha Leichombam Gopal, Thoubal Kanba Lup TAL president Rameswor Waikha, Sahitya Academy awardee Sunita Ningombam and Assistant Commissioner Thoubal Arbin Hanglem as presidium members.

The cassette contains two patriotic songs "Thoraklo Laklo"and "Chaktheklammu Yeknaba Pumba", written by Angom Surjit Meitei and sung by Malemleima Telem and Sorokhaibam Amrika respectively.
