Security meet held at COB Kotlen

Noney, December 02 2024: Assam Rifles organised a security meet with CSOs and village chiefs at Company Operating Base (COB), Kotlen on Monday.

The meeting was attended by representatives of CSOs including Kuki Inpi, Kuki Khanglai Lawmpi (KKL), Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) and Kuki Women's Union (KWU) along with village chiefs in the Area of Responsibility (AoR) of the Assam Rifles.

During the meeting various steps required to maintain peace in the area, and ensure safety of the IOCL convoy on NH 37 and villages were discussed.

The role of CSOs in maintaining a healthy civil-military relationship was also accentuated.

The CSOs highlighted the issues being faced by the locals' and students amid the on-going ethnic violence in the state such as lack of continuity in education, poor infrastructure and lack of employment opportunities.
