Awareness programme on cyber crime held

Imphal, February 01 2023: With the main objective to mitigate the ever-increas ing incidents related with cyber crime, Manipur police cyber crime unit in coordination with Kongpal Social Development Organisation (KSDO) cum Youth Club, Mangai Leima VLF and Khurai Khaidem Leikai GP organised Cyber Jaagrookta Awareness programme at KSDO community hall on Wednesday.

The awareness programme was attended by Khurai Khaidem Leikai GP pradhan Rk Muktarani as chief guest, KSDO president Nongthombam Kumar as president while ward members Laikhuram Landhoni, Khaidem Bala and Pechimayum Pravahini were present as guests of honour.

Sub-inspector Lisham Geetchandra of Manipur police cyber crime, SI Richard, CCPS Jamsanmuan and SMMC subedar Lalhamuanan also attended the programme as special guests.

During the programme, officials of Manipur police cyber crime unit made the people aware about the precautions to be taken from cyber fraud, online fraud, cyber security, crimes related with social media through presentations and slide shows.

An interaction session on precautions to be taken from cyber crimes was also held at the programme attended by more than 200 locals.
