Keirao MLA begins development of Sagolmang pond

Imphal, June 30 2022: In remembrance of Ima Shajabam Kunjehari Bibi, who played a crucial role during the Nupi Lal, Kshetrigao AC MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan on Thursday laid the foundation stone and commenced development work on Sagolsang Pukhri which is located at Top Kshetri Bengoon Awang Leikai.

Speaking on the occasion, Noorul informed that pond will be developed under 'Mission Amrit Sarovar', after proper demarcation of the area, while ensuring its originality is maintained as much as possible.

The work will likely be completed by AugUst 15, he added.

The MLA then said that the work was taken up in support of CM N Biren's mission to save the water bodies and conveyed that the people would soon be able to enjoy the benefits of the pond.

The foundation stone laying ceremony was also attended by Top Dussara GP elder Yumnam Thoiba and Kshetrigao CD Block BDO Subinson Sapam.
