Entrepreneurship awareness programme held

Senapati, August 27 2022: Department of Vocational Studies & Skill Development, Manipur University in collaboration with Senapati district administration organised a one day entrepreneurship awareness programme on Saturday at Maram Khunou, a village adopted by Manipur University.

The programme held with Department of Vocational Studies and Skill Development head Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei, Tadubi SDO/BDO T Shyamkumar Singh, village chief B Kangba and village chairman P Thomas as special dignitaries had an interaction session between the dignitaries and faculty members of DVSSD, Manipur University with about 100 partici pants on various aspects of Entrepreneurship Development related to locally available resources.

As a part of adoption activities of the village, the district administration and MU team have agreed to take up activities related to livelihood skill development, rain water harvesting, career counselling, health camps, sanitation, waste management, financial literacy & women empowerment, etc.

Tadubi Block coordinator Kaini B also highlighted about Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission whereas Senapati RD&PR junior development officer Mickey Pao highlighted about various resources available at the village.

The district administration also assured to improve the Maram Khunou IVR for better connectivity under various government schemes.
