Traffic to be regulated for R-Day

Imphal, January 22 2022:
In connection with the upcoming 73rd Republic Day Celebration on January 26 and the full dress rehearsal on January 24 at 7 am, vehicles except that of VIPs and invitees having valid car passes issued by state home department shall not be allowed to ply towards north of Krishna Premi Oil Pump Moirangkhom on NH-2, Keishampat to Khwairamband Bazar, Maharani Bridge to Dukanthong, Babuthong, Kangchup road to Flyover, Khoyathong to North AOC and Sanjenthong to Western Gate of Kangla and Keishampat Bridge from 6:30 am to 8 am on January 24 and 26.As per a notice issued by Traffic Control Police Wing SP K Ajit Kumar Sharma movement of vehicular traffic is being arranged in the interest and safety of the general public.
Vehicles operating along the Indo-Burma road shall be diverted from Singjamei Bridge and New Thumbuthong Bridge; Mayang Imphal road from Keishampat Junction towards; and NH-39 from Chingmeirong Khongnang Ani Karak.
No vehicles shall be allowed to proceed from Palace Gate Traffic Point towards San-jenthong side and from Minuthong towards North AOC.
The notice also specified that vehicles from New Cachar Road (NH-53) shall be diverted from Tera Bazar; Tiddim road from Kwakeithel Bazar.
However, there shall be no diversions for any such vehicles detailed/engaged for emergency services/duties.
