Imphal, July 21 2024: The Taorem Kulachandra Memorial Merit Award donated by Angel Children Hospital managing director Dr Yaikhomba Taorem in memory of his father (late) Kulachandra were presented on Sunday to meritorious students of Khumbong area in Imphal West district.

A total of 81 students, majority of who had passed class X and XII examinations conducted by state board/council and CBSE for the year 2023 and 2024 and some NEET-cleared students received the award.

During the awards ceremony organised jointly by Imphal West Students' Club, Khumbong and Fruits Plantation Mission Manipur, Dr Yaikhomba Taorem encouraged the students to relentlessly pursue career of their choice and work with consistency to taste success in life.

The ceremony was also attended by former MP Th Meinya, Club president Dr Kolom Rabi, Lamphel SDPO N Ingocha and MDA president Moirangthem Hemanta.
