Hindi essay, poem writing competition held

As part of Hindi Pakhwada (Hindi Fortnight) observance from September 14-28, Nehru "Yuva Kendra Thoubal organised Hindi essay and poem writing competitions for youths at Leisangthem and Keibung on September 19 and 20 respectively.
A release by district youth officer NYK Thoubal Michael Thangminliert Mate informed that prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition by volunteers of NYK Thoubal.
Hindi Diwas Fortnight of NYK Thoubal was launched at its Conference Hall on September 14 where resource person delivered lectures on usage of Hindi language as a Rajbhasa.
Hindi Diwas Pakhwada is celebrated to raise awareness about the language and also commemorate the event when it was declared as one of the official languages of India.
As part of this celebration, students and youths are encouraged to participate in various singing, writing and declamation competitions to promote the learning and usage of Hindi.
The release further stated that NYK Thoubal volunteers had also organised Hindi writing competition at Phouden on September 15 and at Wangoo Tera Awang Leikai on September 16.Moreo such competitions will be organised in- different parts of Thoubal and Kakching districts in the coming days till September 28, added the district youth officer in release.
