Training programme on Integrated Farming System commences

Imphal, July 20 2022:
A 5-day training programme on Integrated Farming System with special reference to livestock production for empowerment of farm women commenced today at the campus of Central Agricultural University, Lamphelpat.
The training programme is jointly organised by the Directorate of Instruction, Central Agricultural University Imphal and Samvardhinee Nyas Manipur Prant, which is a branch of Rashtra Sevika Samiti.
The training programme is attended by women farmers from different districts across the State.
Speaking at the occasion as the chief guest, Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice-chancellor of CAU, Imphal commended the enormous contributions of Manipur women socially and economically.
Addressing the gathering, co-convenor of Samvardhinee Nyas Manipur Prant said that the training programme is organised as a part of the activities taken up by Samvardhinee Nyas for the upliftment of women.
She also assured that the organisation will continue to take up similar activities for the.
well-being of women in the State.
Experts and resource persons deliberated on integrated farming system and spoke in length on various topics including scientific rearing of cattle, dairy farming, essentials for piggery farming etc today.
