Aid extended to bride's family, students

Meira paibi activists of Oinam Municipal Council Ward No 4 ceremonial attires for the wedding of Pukhrambam Diana, daughter of P Ingocha and Shanti, whose entire family is staying at the Oinam Government Higher Secondary School relief camp after their house was burned down in the ethnic conflict.
The aid was handed over to Diana's grandmother P Leirentombi, who thanked the meira paibi activists while expressing remorse that displaced people cannot celebrate even joyous events like wedding at their own homes.
Meanwhile, Apunba Tengbang Lup, Bishnupur distributed jumbo boxes and monetary aid of Rs 1000 each on Sunday to 33 students who were staying in the relief camp at the Old Mini-Secretariat Complex but are presently lodged in the boarding and hostels of their respective colleges and schools.
The aid provided by the government was handed over to the respective family members of the students at the relief camp by Apunba Tengbang Lup, Bishnupur Central Committee secretaiy Moirangthem Bilky.
