8 books released at Imphal Book Fair

Imphal, December 18 2024: On the second day of the 31st Imphal Book Fair underway at State Central Library, Imphal and State Archives campus, Keishampat, eight books were released on December 16 .

In a release, Imphal Book Fair convenor Rk Urmila Devi informed that the book release programme was attended by Manipur Uni versity School of Humanities former DEAN Prof N Aruna Devi as chairperson.

On the third day, an interaction programme of read ers, authors and publishers was conducted, while 'Meet the folk artiste' programme with folk artiste Thokchom Lansana was held on the fourth day, on Wednesday.

A career counselling programme will be held on Thursday at State Central Library auditorium, the convenor informed.

The Book Fair is jointly organised by State Central Library Imphal and 12 District Libraries, and Department of Art and Culture, in collab oration with Raja Rammo-hun Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF), Kolkata.
