Sensitisation prog on JJ Act conducted

Thoubal, February 18 2025: A day-long sensitisation cum interaction programme on Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act, 215 was organised by District Legal Services Authority, Thoubal under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) at the conference hall of the Thoubal District Court Complex on Tuesday.

As resource persons of the programme, district child protection officer Salam Rob-indro, Mala Lisam and District and Sessions Judge, Thoubal, Samom Ibjen spoke on the topics "Role of District Child Protection Unit for effective implementation of the JJ Act, 2015", "Central as well as State schemes for Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP) and Children in Conflict with Laws (CCL)" and "Role of Stakeholders under the POCSO Act, 2012" respectively.

The programme was also attended by representatives of Child Care Institute, JJ Board, and child welfare committees of Thoubal and Kakching districts.
