Imphal, December 17 2024:
All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has appealed to the employees of Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM), who are currently on pen-down strike, to withdraw their agitation in the larger interest of the students.
Referring to the notification issued by BoSEM that HSLC examination will begin from February 19, 2025 and specifying deadline for submission of filled-up forms, AMRPSWA noted that as BoSEM has been paralysed due to the employees' strike, prospects for students preparing for their first public examination are grim.
The Association then urged the government to resolve the current crisis in the BoSEM at the earliest so as to ensure smooth conduct of the HSLC examination.
Expressing that the authorities might be well aware about genesis of the conflict between the parties concerned, the Association stated that it would be unbecoming of the authorities concerned to remain a mute spectator on the issue.
At the same time, AMRPSWA appealed to BoSEM staffers to reconsider their stance regarding the strike for the sake of the students despite indignation over various grievances, and called upon the government to ensure that regulations are enforced effectively.
