VDF member among two held in theft case

Bishnupur, June 17 2022: A team of Bishnupur Commando Quebec 45 along with Bishnupur police station arrested two people identified as Phusham Zaheer Khan (31), son of Ph Fajur of Tarahei, Hiyangthang and BM Seinik Khan (31), son of BM Salamdin of Tarahei Awang, Hiyangthang in connection with theft of electric wood cutters from a hardware shop located at Keinou on Thursday.

According to a report, based on complaint about the theft, the police team took prompt action and arrested both the accused from Hiyangthang area and recovered one wood cutter machine along with one Honda Dio (MN01AJ0809), which was used in committing the crime.

On further verification, Phusham Zaheer Khan was found to be a VDF member of Imphal West district presently posted at Heibokching near Hiyangthang.

A case in this regard has been registered at Bishnupur police station for further legal action.
