Wildfire breaks out near Angaan Ching Eco Park

Kakching, February 16 2025: A wildfire broke on the western side of Angaan Ching Eco Park, Kakching on Sunday evening.

Fire fighters from Kakching Fire Service, district police, and Range Forest Office, beat offices of Pallel, Waikhong, and Wangoo Lamkhai, along with members of the park management committee swiftly responded to the situation and prevented damage to the main portion of the park.

Expressing gratitude to the fire service, police and forest staff for the swift response, park management committee coordinator Surjit Kshetrimayum has appealed to the public to refrain from any activities which might spark fire incidents, especially during the dry and windy season.

He also appealed to the public to inform the committee, police, fire service or forest officials if they come across any such incidents.
