He appreciated the state government for taking up the step, while recounting that the party had approached the Governor on the same matter few days back.
Tombi lamented that no serious efforts are being made to end the conflict raging for nearly two years.
Neither the Kukis nor the Meeteis will benefit from killing each other, he cautioned and sought the support of all CSOs, political parties and indigenous communities in resolving the conflict.
Tombi also urged the central and state governments to end the conflict, adding that there would be no development if it continues to persist.
Tombi further called on all concerned to support initiatives of the central arid state governments in restoring peace in the state, instead of being divided on party lines.
He then urged the state government to arrange alternative livelihoods for the IDPs, while seeking cooperation of the people to the government's efforts.
