Imphal, January 15 2022: A 34-year-old woman lost her life in a road accident that occurred at Langthabal under Singjamei police station on Friday morning.

The deceased woman has been identified as Minarajan, wife of Md Rahaman of Lilong Yangbi Leikai.

According to police, the accident occurred around 4.30 am on Friday in front of Langthabal Oil Pump when a passenger auto-rickshaw carrying two women passengers lost control.

The second passenger Baby Mariam (40), daughter of late MV Faju Rahaman and driver Shah Rukh Khan (21) escaped with minor injuries.

According to the driver, he lost control after a vehicle hit his auto-rickshaw from behind and fled from the scene.

Minarajan died at the spot.

A case has been registered at Singjamei police station.

The deceased woman's body has been handed over to her family members after post mortem.
