Body condemns abduction of minor student

Imphal, June 13 2022: United Association of Recognised Schools of Manipur (UARSoM) has strongly condemned the abduction of a class IV student of KTL Higher Secondary School, Ukhrul and dumping the child after stuffing inside a gunny bag on June 10.In a statement signed by its general secretary Seikhojam Kipgen, UARSoM said that the minor student, who was a resident of Mayotang Zone-II was abducted on his way 4o attend a private tuition by five unidentified youths.

He was dumped in a secluded place in a gunny bag a short distance away from the abduction site.

The association condemned such inhumane and barbaric activity meted out to an innocent school going child and appealed to the general population to desist from such beastly activities that bring disturbances to the whole learning environment.

It also requested the state government to enhance security vigil to ensure safety of children and appeal for the immediate arrest of perpetrators.
