State level Kala Utsav concludes

The valedictory function of the State Level Kala Utsav Competition 2024-2025, organised by Samagra Shiksha Manipur (SSM), was held on Tuesday at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, DMU campus here with Education (Schools) director L Nandakumar Singh, who is also the SSM state project director as the chief guest.
In his address, Nandakumar stated that the national level Kala Utsav, an initiative of the Ministry of Education since 2015, will take place in January 2025 in Bhopal.
Reflecting on Manipur's rich heritage in both arts and sports, and expressing elation that the state has been participating at the national level Kala Utsav since 2020, he encouraged this year's state winners to give their best in the upcoming national competition.
As a part of the function, prizes were distributed to winners of competition in various categories, in honour of their talents and dedication.
Among others, the closing ceremony was also attended by SSM (secondary) additional state project director Khumukcham Renuka, SSM (elementary) additional state project director Soraisham David Singh Education (schools/valley) additional director Bisheshwar Khumukcham, Education (S/ Hills) additional director Dangmei Manglem, SSM finance controller Bobby Moirangthem and Directorate of Education (S) chief finance officer Sanatombi Bachaspatimayum.
The State Level Kala Utsav Competition serves as a platform to Celebrate and nurture artistic talent across Manipur, reinforcing the state's commitment to cultural and artistic excellence.
