Covid death toll in Bishnupur reaches 100

Bishnupur, June 12 2021: In the last 24 hours, Bishnupur district registered two more deaths due to Covid-19, taking the total fatality from the infectious disease to 100.With the demise of two - both males aged 70 and 58 years old, who succumbed at Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (Imphal), the district has so far lost 61 male and 39 female denizens.

According to the daily bulletin issued by Bishnupur district information officer citing report of the CMO Bishnupur, 41 new Covid cases were reported from among general population on Saturday with 30 of them females.

With the new cases, Bishnupur has a cumulative number of 508 active cases.

Among them, 154 are undergoing home quarantine, 270 at community isolation centres, 37 at Covid care centre, 17 at district hospital isolation ward and 30 at hospitals out of the district.

The district's total number of Covid positive cases has risen to 3280 while the recovered cases stand at 2672.The bulletin also informed that 21 patients are under oxygen support, seven at Covid care centre Bishnupur and 14 at district hospital isolation ward.
