State Level Exhibition for PwDs concludes

Imphal, December 10 2021: The State Level Exhibition for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), organised by Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Able Persons Manipur under the sponsorship of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment from December 5, culminated at Ideal Club, Tera Bazar on Thursday.

Organised on the theme of 'Leadership and Participation of Persons with Disabilities Toward an Inclusive, Accessible and Sustainable Post Covid-19 World' in connection with International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2021, the valedictory function was attended by RIMS Dean (Academics) Brogen Singh Akoijam as chief guest and Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Able Persons Manipur president P Gopendro Singh as president while National Awardee L Amarendra Sharma and Ideal Club president Rk Tombisana Singh were guests of honour.

In his speech, Brogen Akoijam highlighted the difficulties faced by differently able persons during the Covid-19 pandemic, while encouraging the community not to feel saddened with the reduced number of visitors to the exhibition.

Everyone will realise the value of differently able persons one day or the other, he expressed and urged for organising more such exhibitions, while assuring to extend all possible help in this regard.
