Lions Club holds peace poster contest 2024

Imphal, November 10 2024: Lions Club of Imphal Central organised Peace Poster Contest, 2024 for children aged 11 to 13 years at the Millennium School, Patsoi on Sunday, in partnership with the school.

According to a statement of the club, the Contest saw participation of 28 students, as Salam Venessa, Salam Veninda and Naveen Naoshekpam won the top three positions respectively.

The valedictory function was presided over by club president Dr Pangeijam Sanjeev.

Lions International, District 322D district cabinet treasurer Yumnam Ranjit; GAT/GMT coordinator Dr Potsangbam Jashawanta; artist Ngangom Narendrajit; and club vice-president Oinam Jibanchandra were also present at the event as members on the dais.

Cash awards of Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1500 for the first, second and third places were provided by club member Lukram Romen in memory of his late father, Lukram Surendro Singh alias Bhuno, and deceased elder brothers Lukram Pritam Singh and Kendrabir Singh.

Additionally, cash awards of Rs 500 each were given to the students who secured 4th to 10th position, namely Vishudra Laishram, Khristina Irom, Nilam Mairembam, Salam Vasu, Phamdom Niraj Singh, Thangjam Johnish Singh, and Chingshubam Luching-ba Meitei.

These awards were donated by club past club president Thokchom Ranbir in memory of his late father, Thokchom Joykumar Singh, the statement added.
