Imphal, June 09 2022: Manipur Film Journalists and Critics' Association (MFJCA) observed the first death anniversary of film critic RK Bidur at Maichou Taret Shanglen, Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak on Thursday.

The commemorative event presided over by MFJCA president Manindra Konsam was attended by Chorus Repertory theatre chairman Ratan Thiyam as chief guest while National Film critic Meghachandra Kongbam and Indian Cine Club former member Thounaojam Kishorechand were the guest speakers.

Speaking on the occasion, Ratan Thiyam recalled Rk Bidur as a 'cultured' man who was keen on writing and described his demise as a great loss for Manipur.

Meghachandra Kongbam, Thounaojam Kishorechand and Manindra Konsam also narrated the life history of the deceased critic and his works for the development of Manipuri film.

Floral tributes were also paid to the photo of the deceased film critic as a part of the programme.
