Medical aid camp conducted at Kangvai village

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) conducted a medical aid camp as part of Operation Sadbhavana at Kangvai village on Saturday.
The initiative was aimed at promoting health and well-being among the internally displaced persons and neighbouring villagers, while also bolstering greater harmony and trust between the Assam Rifles and the local communities, a release by PRO IGAR (S) said.
The release informed that the medical camp catered for the necessary medical assistance to women, children,anenand the elderly from neighbouring villages, as well as for internally displaced persons who are residing in nearby relief camps with minimal access to medical facilities in such challenging times.
The camp offered comprehensive medical check-ups and provision of medications.
A dedicated team of AR doctors including dental surgeon along with medical specialist, paediatric specialist, dermatologist, orthopaedic surgeon and gynaecologist from Churachandpur Medical College provided medical assistance to ensure all possible healthcare services are available at one place during the camp.
In addition all sections of the society also assisted in paramedical and logistical support which assisted towards the success of the medical camp, it informed.
The release continued that individuals suffering from various conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, abdomen pain, UTI and fever were provided medications, while bedridden, patients were provided essential medical equipment such as lumbar belts, crutches and rehabilitation materials.
The medical camp commenced early in the morning and continued till late afternoon with 532 locals including 112 elderly, 182 children, 149 women and 89 men benefitting from the services provided.
