Sit-in demands compliance with appointment order

Newly recruited Anganwadi workers and helpers under ICDS Project, Kakching on Friday staged a sit-in protest in front of office Of ICDS Project, Kakching demanding immediate revocation of an order that kept in abeyance their appointment order.
Speaking to the media in connection with the protest organised by Association of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Engaged DPC on 2021, its president Melody Keisham recalled that a DPC was conducted in October 2021 for engaging more than 40 Anganwadi workers and helpers under ICDS Kakching.
The result of the DPC was declared on January 6 and the newly recruited Anganwadi workers and helpers started joining in their places of duty.
But a new order supposedly issued on January 6 was made public in May that kept in abeyance their appointment order issued on January 5, she pointed out.
Melody demanded authority concerned to immediately revoke the order suspending their appointment and allow the newly recruited Anganwadi workers and helpers to start working as usual.
Later, the sit-in protest was dispersed by a police team led by Pallel police station OC .
