MLA assures urea to all Patsoi farmers

Imphal, July 03 2022: Patsoi AC MLA Sapam Kunjakeshor (Keba) has assured of providing fertilisers to the farmers of Patsoi constituency while keeping political differences aside.

District Agriculture Officer, Imphal West in collaboration with Sub-Divisional Agriculture Office, Imphal West organised a distribution programme of HYV seeds under the 'Enhancement of rice production during Kharif-2022' at the Tera Bazar MLA's residence here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kunjakeshor noted that around 70 percent of the population is farmers and they are making significant contribution to the economy.

He then appealed to the farmers to the avail benefit of the welfare schemes introduced by the government from time to time, while assuring of providing adequate fertilisers to the farmers of Patsoi regardless of their political inclinations.

The programme was also attended Imphal West District Agriculture Officer S Kenedy and SDAO Y Hemabati among others.

Meanwhile, L Polen Meitei, who is preparing to contest in the election of Takyel Zilla Parishad, carried out a house-to-house distribution of fertilisers under the aegis of MLA Kunjakeshor.

One of the farmers named Irungbam Rajen appreciated the initiative and wished both the MLA and intending candidate Polen the best in all their future endeavours.

In all, 100 farmers were provided fertilisers at subsidised rate at the programme.
