Congress would get absolute majority: MPCC VP

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) vice president Kh Devabrata has claimed that Congress party would get absolute majority in the upcoming assembly election to be held in early part of 2022.Kh Devabrata stated this during the function of releasing manifesto and poster cum motor rally for party's Lamlai AC intending candidate Achoibam Deben on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event organised by Lamlai Block Congress Committee at Lamlai Keithel, Devabrata accepted that BJP will be the strongest rival for Congress in the upcoming election and NPP in some constituencies while NPF in the hills.
Congress party will field candidates in all the assembly con stituencies of the state in the 2022 election, he declared, adding that BJP and its allies have communal mindset and believe in suppression of small communities by big communities.
In his speech at the event, Achoibam Deben said that Lamlai AC continues to lag behind other constituencies in almost all sectors.
Roads, bridges, irrigation canal as well as education and health sectors remain undeveloped and people of the constituency must understand this, he added.
