Imphal, November 29 2024: Thongam Premchand, senior reporter of Poknapham and its sister publication, The People s Chronicle, has been selected as a fellow for the 5th Scientific Journalism Programme of Central Agricultural University Public Relations and Media Management Cell (PRMM Cell) .

In a release, PRMM Cell information and publicity officer Dr Indira Thounaojam informed that the Scientific Journalism Programme this year is focusing on timely and impactful topic of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and its uses.

Besides Premchand, the other media fellows are The Sangai Express reporter Konsam Samita Devi and Impact TV staff reporter Tourangbam Bhaktacharya Singh, she announced, stating that trio's hard work, dedication, and exceptional contributions to the field of journalism has been truly inspiring.

She said that the programme is the brainchild of CAU vice chancellor Dr Anupam Mishra, whose vision is to disseminate the scientific knowledge and ground breaking research findings of the university to the wider world.
