AR holds anti-drug, Covid awareness prog

Noney, June 26 2021:
Under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), Noney Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles organised a lecture cum interaction session on 'anti-drug awareness' in connection with the observance of "International Anti-Drug Abuse Day" on Saturday.
The lecture was specially conducted for the youth in remote locations/villages of Noney district for guiding them to lead a healthy life by making them aware about the harmful effects of drugs on human body and the way it crumbles the social life.
Issues like drug overdoses of medicinal drugs were also discussed during the lecture cum interaction session.
The lecture was organised at the Noney Battalion headquarters and Company Operating Bases at Kotlien, Tupul, Haochong, Awangkhul, Khongsang and Nungba.
An oath was also taken by all the attendees to contribute towards a drug free Manipur and drug free India.
In addition, all were made aware about Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and importance of Covid vaccination.
Adequate COVID-19 protection measures were followed during the lecture.
