Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) apex student body of Ukhrul andKamjong districthas urged Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Lambui, Ukhrul and SDOs, ZEOs concerned to carry out the ad mission process for students in a free and fair manner so that only the deserving students could get dadmission to the institute.
As per TKS president Shimri Raising, there were anomalies in the entrance exam's result of JNV -2022 and subsequently TKS conducted a verification of the selected students for both Ukhrul and Kamjong districts.
According to the reports of TKS education secretary Lummi Awungshi, the team checked the genuineness of the OBC candidates in three schools ( Asui Memorial School, St Paul and Lambui High School) of Ukhrul district.
The student body also checked the details of 23 students in Kasom Block of Kamjong district out of which 18 students were not eligible for admission to JNV as per TKS.
The TKS further stated that another 32 students were found ineligible for admission in the recently declared Class VI entrance examination of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Lambui, Ukhrul and the matter was informed to the SDOs of Ukhrul and Kasom Khullen.
The student body then asked the authorities concerned to look into the matter so that students can be selected in a transparent manner.
