One dies in Bishnupur, 46 new cases detected

Bishnupur, May 20 2021:
A 90 year-old man from Bishnupur district succumbed to COVID-19 on Thursday, taking the death toll in the district to 75 while 46 new cases were reported to raise the cumulative number of infected persons to 2157.Out of 46 new cases detected 25 are females and one BSF jawan.
Out of the total positive cases in Bishnupur district so far, 2123 are from general population and 34 from among the CAPF, while a total of 1658 has recovered from the virus and 424 patients undergoing treatment.
The district's information officer said in a statement that out of the 424 active cases, 34 are in Covid Centre, nine in isolation ward of the district hospital, 297 undergoing home isolation and 84 at hospitals out of the district.
Out of the 68 beds available in the COVID Care Centre, 34 have been occupied while only one bed remains unoccupied in the 10-bed capacity Isolation Ward of the District Hospital, it added.
