Ticket seeker confident of Cong win in Kakching AC

Kshetrimayum Kennedy, who is the intending candidate of Indian National Congress (INC) in Kakching assembly constituency for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election, has said that Congress candidate would defeat BJP nominee in the upcoming polls.
Speaking during reception ceremony of newly joined Congress members from BJP and other parties at his Kakching Makha Leikai residence on Friday, Kennedy contended that many people have now realised communal mindset of BJP and gradually reposed faith in the secular INC and thanked those who joined the INC.
The reception ceremony was organised as part of the movement being launched throughout India and Manipur to defeat BJP which plays politics based on religion, food and dress, he added.
According to Kennedy, Congress party will adopt a completely new strategy in the upcoming elections and secure majority to form a Congress led government with like-minded parties.
He also called upon people of Kakching AC to intensify the ongoing movement to strengthen INC.
The reception ceremony was also attended by Kakching District Congress Committee president Ekng-bam Manglem, Block Congress Committee vice president Th Sanatomba, general secretary Leishangthem Brojen, Block Mahila Congress Committee president Moirangthem Pishak Devi, Kakching Municipal Council ex-councillor M Uma Devi and others as presidium members.
