Bethany Christian College celebrates

Bethany Christian College on Saturday celebrated its golden jubilee at Family Lane, Churachandpur campus.
The programme was attended by union minister of state for external affairs and education Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh and former DGP LM Khaute and additional secretary (horticulture) Mannuamching as presidium members.
Dr Rk Ranjan inaugurated the jubilee stone and it was followed by dedication by Good Shepherd Church of India, Secunderabad bishop and deputy moderator Paothang Haokip.
Speaking at the event, Dr Rk Ranjan noted that the college began with only seven students but in its existence for 50 years, the college has produced brilliant students including those who are now IAS officers and other professionals.
All the credit goes to the tireless efforts of the founder who sacrificed for the welfare of the students, he said.
Founder of the Bethany College Hathoih Buansing delivered the keynote address.
Mementos were also presented to the alumni attending the jubilee celebration as a mark of acknowledgment.
A souvenir and song book were released as a part of the celebration.
