Govt drivers hold general body meet

Imphal, October 13 2024: All Manipur Government Drivers & Technicians' Association held its 49th general body meet at Manipur Press-Club on Sunday with retired government driver S Achouba, association president T Manitomba, chief advisor S Ibopishak, former vice-president K Ibobi and former secretary Ng Kalachand as presidium members.

Regarding the meet, association's general secretary M Mahesh said role of government drivers is huge as they shoulder responsibility for safe and timely conveyance of the officers to their respective offices.

However, grievancesand other problems besieging drivers remain unaddressed, he said and appealed to all concerned not to mistreat or harass drivers.

As a part of the meeting, newly appointed office bearers of the association were handed charge.
