KVK launches Rabi Campaign, distributes inputs

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Thoubal on Friday launched its Rabi Campaign 2021 and distributed rabi crop seeds and other inputs to farmers of Thoubal district.
The programme held as part of Seed Production of Mustard Programme under KSHAMTA and IC1C1 Foundation and annual Rabi Campaign at KVK Thoubal office, Khangabok was attended by Thoubal deputy commissioner A Subhash Singh as chief guest and Agriculture director N Gojendro Singh as president, whilelCICI Foundation Manipur development manager Rishikanta and Agriculture Department's AO Ak Chittaranjan were present as guests of honour.
Speaking at the programme, DC Subhash praised KVK Thoubal and ICICI Foundation for striving to ensure double income for state farmers by helping them grow multiple crops.
Farmers' main issue is financial problems as most of them are poor.
Even if they have the will to work for doubling their income, they face monetary issue.
Hence, farmers who are encountering such problems, can avail loan from various banks of the district and if they face any issue they can report it to DC Office, he informed.
As a part of the programme, seeds under Seed Production of Mustard programme of ICICI Foundation and other schemes were distributed to select farmers and a leaflet in connection with the campaign released by the chief guest.
An interaction programme with chief guest and field experts with farmers was also held during the programme.
