Kakching, March 12 2025: Grace Cottage Cultural and Educational Development Foundation/Grace Cottage Academy, Kakching and Students' Library Association (SLA), Kakching jointly organised tree plantation cum dustbin installation programme along the Louyai/Lourel stretch of Kakching-Pallel road on Wednesday.

The programme was inaugurated by Kakching MLA M Rameshwar in the presence of Grace Cottage Academy founder Kshetrimayum Chaoba, teachers and students of the Academy and SLA members.

Speaking on the occasion, Chaoba informed that the plantation drive was carried out in continuation of the joint campaign of the Academy and the SLA since 2000 .

Stating around 1000 saplings planted so far along the Lbuyai/Lourel stretch are nearing the maturity stage, he pointed out that the initiative is not only to plant trees but also to keep Kakching Louyai road spic and span.

On the other hand, MLA Rameshwar praised the initiative of planting of saplings by students of Grace Cottage Academy in their mother's names, as emphasised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
