ZUF appoints new leadership

Imphal, November 10 2024:
The Central Executive Council of the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has announced the appointment of new leaders and welcomed the return of former members and new entrants.
During a recent meeting, the Council resolved to appoint Nickson Thoitak alias Arei, as command -er-in-chief of the Zeliangrong Tiger Force (ZTF), and Louis Gangmei as secretary of the Ministry of Information & Publicity (MIP), among other functionaries.
ZUF general secretary Aihong Riamroi issued the appointment letters to the newly appointed officials, with the act of official affirmation conducted on November 2, 2024 .
In a statement, ZUF media cell informed that the Front also held a welcome ceremony for individuals from various factions who have decided to join the Front.
'Tatar' Pingkiubou Pamei of NSCN (U), 'Tatar' Mairinang Newmei of NSCN (IM), 'Lieutenant Colonel' Alakbou Newme of NSCN (K), 'Lieutenant' Angam Abonmei of NSCN (IML '2nd Lieutenant' Witingchak Newme of NSCN (IM), and 'Corporal' Sangmei Gonmei of NSCN (IM) were honoured for making their independent decisions to align with the ZUF.
Their commitment and testimonies carry moral integrity, clear conscience, and patriotism, the statement said.
Furthermore, ZUF has reinstated five former cadres who had been on leave due to family obligations and health reasons.
The Front expressed appreciation for their enduring dedication and commitment to the shared cause of the Zeliangrong people, recognising their true spirit and service.
