Wangoi MLA Kh Loken has called for stopping threat and serving of unbearable monetary demand to schools and colleges, which are meant for moulding the future generations of the society.
MLA Kh Loken took part in a meeting of the Mayai Lambi College Infrastructure Committee held at the college's auditorium and discussed about development of the college and welfare activities for students of the college.
After the meeting, also attended by teachers and students of the college, MLA Kh Loken told media persons that almost all the government schools and colleges are currently facing shortage of staff due to poor financial condition of the government.
However, Mayai Lambi College being a highly enrolled college, the education minister had been apprised about shortages of staff in the college from his side during the ongoing assembly, and efforts are being made to fill the shortages in consultation with the education commissioner, Loken said.
According to MLA Loken, Manipur has moved backward by around 20-30 years in terms of development due to the ongoing violence but we can make up with hard work.
He said that there is no intention of causing fear among teachers and staff of Mayai Lambi College by installing a biometric attendance machine from his pocket money but it was done purely on enhancing working habit of teachers so that they could teach students properly.
He also assured of providing 10 computers sets to the college from his side as part of filling up infrastructural shortages in the college.
