Imphal, August 09 2022:
A meeting of Meitei Pangals settled in Manipur was held on Tuesday, which was attended by representatives of various bodies/organisations.
According to a statement released regarding the meeting, there is strong suspicion whether Federation of Hao-mee (FoH) is trying to sow seed of discord among the different communities of the state through its various hypocritical press releases.
One of the leaders of an organisation behind the ethnic clashes of 1993 has now taken a new mask and repeating his insidious acts.
The Pangal community of the state condemns this act by some private group of people classifying and giving identification to the indigenous populace as an attempt to destroy Manipur's integrity and unity.
Many ancestors of the community had sacrificed their lives to protect Manipur and as such, the Pangal community needs no indigenous certification from a group which is adamant on destroying the state.
The statement then urged all communities in the state to stand against such attempts to destroy the unity and integrity of Manipur.
It then appealed to the state government to take strict action against such organisations which are putting on the mask of leadership so as to prevent any future divisive attempts.
