IPR minister releases 'Manipur Today'

Imphal, June 09 2022:
Information and Public Relations (IPR) minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh released "Manipur Today", a monthly journal published by DIPR, Manipur on Thursday.
IPR commissioner M Harekrishna, director H Balkrishna Singh, deputy director (Press) T Ramesh Singh, deputy director (HQ) L Ashok Kumar Singh and officials & staff of the department also attended the release function held at the minister's New Secretariat North Block office chamber.
Speaking at the event, minister Ranjan informed that DIPR has been publishing Manipur Today regularly since June, 2018.While noting that the role of DIPR is vast, he revealed that the government under the initiative of chief minister N Biren is planning to expand and upgrade the department with due recognition of its role and prospects.
Further stating requisite infrastructures for district information offices will be developed on priority basis, Dr Ranjan also advised officials concerned to submit relevant reports.
Copies of Manipur Today magazine was also distributed to the officials and media persons present on the occasion.
