Imphal, October 08 2024: Skeletal remains, due to severe decomposition, of a suspected male was found on the Langol hills in Langol Wangkhei Meitei Leikai area under Lamphel police station on Tuesday.

Police source said that some locals spotted the body and informed police on Tuesday around 3 pm.

The deceased as clad in a black coloured formal pant, blue & white striped formal shirt and a black coloured belt.

Police suspect death by hanging and fell on the ground as the "khudei' used to hang snapped over time.

Due to severe decomposition of the body amid the rain and harsh sunlight, only the skeletal remains could be retrieved.

A case has been registered at Lamphel PS and the remains deposited at RIMS mortuary.
