VSP to organise Ayurveda Parv in Imphal

Vinoba Seva Pratisthan (VSP) in association with different organisations would be hosting Ayurveda Parv under the sponsorship of Ministry of Ayush at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, here, from September 9 to 11.Informing this to the media and releasing a voucher in relation with the ensuing programme, South Asia Fraternity (SAF) secretary and chairman of Ayurveda Parva Manipur committee Salam Rupachandra said that VSP is organising the three-day event in collaboration with Ayurvedic Doctors' Association of Manipur (ADAM), Kasturba Gandhi Seva Ashram (KGSA) Manipur, South Asia Fraternity (SAF) Manipur and Gandhi Global Foundation (GGF) New Delhi.
Governor La Ganesan will inaugurate the event.
He said that the first Ayurveda Parv of the country was held in Jammu and Kashmir in July this year and the Imphal event is the second edition of the programme.
Senior officials and experts from Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) and National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) would be participating in the event.
The event will have seminar and panel discussion sessions, during which different researchers, doctors and field experts will present around 30 research papers related to different fields of Ayurveda.
There will be also an exhibition to display different treatment options for various types of ailments, traditional treatment system and successful case studies.
Yoga class in the morning, debating competition, drawing competition, cultural talent competition and awareness rally on Ayurveda will be part of the programme.
Doctors will also provide free consultation in the free health clinic to be opened at the programme venue where medicines will be provided free of cost, he said, while urging the public to avail benefits of the programme.
