Ruling MLAs flock to Delhi ahead of Manipur debate

Following the meeting chaired by Chief Minister N Biren with ruling ministers and MLAs of various political parties on Monday with regard to the prevailing violence in Manipur; the ruling MLAs left for Delhi on Tuesday to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union home minister Amit Shah and other party leaders to apprised them of the details and facts of the situation, ahead of the debate in the parliament over the no-confidence motion moved in connection with Manipur issue by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi.
According to a source, around 10 MLAs left for Delhi via a 9.30 am flight on Tuesday, while another 20 MLAs will be leaving for the national capital on Wednesday.
The MLAs will be meeting and submitting memorandums to PM Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah, BJP National president JP Nadda and other party leaders.
