Body demands justice for deceased IRB trainee

Not ruling out possibility of foul-play behind the unnatural death of Yelam Subhaschandra Singh of Kha Jiri Maning Leikai, who was part of the 16th and 11th IRB trainees in an Assam training centre on Sunday, Khajiri Young Sporting Club & Library (KYSC&L), Nambol and locals urged authorities concerned to probe the case and deliver justice to Subhaschandra.
In a release KYSC&L expressed suspicion that the trainee might have lost his life due to negligence by the training centre's officials as Subhashchandra had already' intimated to his family members about ill-health three-four days back.
After rejecting proposals for health check-up outside the facility, the training centre's officials granted him leave for Monday to consult a doctor only for the trainee to be found dead on his bed on Sunday, it claimed.
While maintaining that the club takes serious note of the incident but had been restraining from launching agitation in view of the prevailing unrest situation, it demanded that the government unravel truth oft he case and extend all possible assistance to wife and daughter of the deceased.
KYSC&L also cautioned of resorting to intense protest in case the government continues to undermine seriousness of the matter.
