MLA calls for rebuilding education system

Imphal, October 07 2023: In order to rebuild the education system which has been badly hit by the present crisis in the state, we all need to come together and collaboratively work for its improvement during a short period of time, stated Lamlai MLA Khongbantabam Ibomcha.

Speaking during the Teachers' Day celebration cum awareness programme held at Summerfield School in Chana under Imphal East district on Saturday, the MLA lamented that the ethnic violence has affected the student community the most.

As such, all need to contribute their mite in rebuilding the education system which has been derailed by the present crisis, Ibomcha stressed, adding that the government of India is gradually realising that the present crisis in Manipur is a war waged by armed militants from across the border in collaboration with the armed Kuki militants in Manipur.

Our neighbouring states have also realised and even expressed that they (neighbouring states) have been awaken by the crisis in Manipur.

Therefore, at this juncture, we should not spread rumours and create panic among the people, he appealed.
