Imphal, August 06 2024: "Paokhum", anovel penned by Kshetri Bir has been selected for the Maibam Ongbi Bimola Devi Ningsing Mana 2024.In a release, Eeramdam Khorjei Apunba Lup (EKHAL) general secretary Nongthombam Bishwarjit Singh informed that the award consisting of Rs 10,000 cash, shawl and citation is presented to select authors every two years.

The award originally sponsored by Hiyanglam assembly constituency former MLA (late) Maibam Kunjo Singh in memory of his better half Bimola Devi, is being continued by his social worker son Maibam Dhanabir Singh.

The award will be presented to Kshetri Bir in last week of August during which a journal published by EKHAL along with a book entitled "Chinthang Wahei" penned by Tolchou Samjetshabam would also be released, the general secretary added.
