Imphal, July 01 2022: Mayang Imphal MLA Kongkham Robindro distributed High Yielding Variety (HYV) paddy saplings and fertilisers to farmers of the constituency on Thursday.

The distribution function organised jointly by Imphal West District Agriculture Officer and Imphal West II sub-divisional agriculture officer under the banner 'Assessment of rice production for Kharif 2022' was held at the MLAs Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai residence.

Speaking at the distribution function, MLA K Robindro lauded the initiatives taken up by CM N Biren and agriculture minister Th Biswajit for increasing production of paddy in the state.

The BJP government led by CM Biren has been working to make Manipur self-reliant in food production, he said and also assured of trying his best to ensure that the initiative reaches the farmers and make them avail adequate quantity of fertilisers.

The distribution function was also attended by Imphal West district agricultural officer Kenedy and SDOA Maniyaima.
