Health camp on stroke prevention begins

In connection with World Stroke Day, BABIN A Hospital launched a 2-day free health camp dedicated to stroke detection and prevention at the hospital located in Khabeisoi, on Wednesday.
According to a statement, the first day of the camp had 26 individuals availing consultation service by BABINA Hospital consultants Dr Tamphasana Wairokpam and Dr Javed Malik.
The participants also had free complimentary screenings on TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone), lipid profile, random blood sugar (RBS) and urine, with those in need also facilitated 20 per cent discount on CT scan services.
"Our objective to hold the camp is to raise awareness about stroke prevention and provide essential screenings that can help detect risk factors early.
We encourage the community to take advantage of this opportunity to prioritize their health," the release quoted Dr Tamphasana as saying.
For second day of the health camp on Thursday, individuals concerned are advised to arrive early to secure spots, the statement informed, assuring BABI-NA Hospital's commitment to community service and health outreach, particularly in promoting awareness about stroke prevention and early detection.
