3 school inaugurated under Samagra Siksha in Thanga AC

Bishnupur, December 29 2024: Three schools namely Khordak Khongbal High School, Keibul Ching-mei High School and Thanga Higher Secondary School constructed under the funding from Samagra Siksha Manipur were inaugurated on Sunday.

The inauguration function was attended by MSPDCL chairman MLA Tongbram Robindro and education (S) director L Nandakumar Singh who is also the project director of Samagra Siksha.

Manipur as chief guest and president respectively while MES I, ZEO Bishnupur N Chingkhei Singh, Khordak Khongbal High School headmaster N Sanathoi Singh, All Manipur Thanga People's Welfare Association president M Rachandra Singh and Moirang DI M Dinesh Singh were the guests of honour.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Tongbram Robindro highlighted significant development in the state's education sector, noting that there is no longer a need to go outside the state for studies, thus saving money.

He mentioned that there are five high schools and one higher secondary school in Thanga assembly constituency and urged everyone to protect and promote the three schools inaugurated on Sunday.

The MIA also assured that the construction and repair of Khordak Road would be completed before the monsoon season.

Nandakumar stated that efforts have begun to equip schools with Smart Boards to enhance teaching.

As part of this initiative, a Smart Board has been provided to Khordak Khongbal High School.
