CRPF aids locals in Bishnupur, Noney

Bishnupur/Noney, December 28 2024:
8 Bn Central Reserve Police Force (GRPF) distributed sport items including volleyballs, volleyball nets, football, etc., and water purifiers under its civic action programme at Muslim Ward No.2, Chiningkhol on Saturday.
The programme was attended by 8 Bn CRPF commandant Chandra Shekhar along with second in command Sanjeev Chuoudhary, assistant commandant Rajeev Kumar, AC Santosh, AC Kiran Sonawane, AC Chanchal Majumdar, village head, ward councillor, Navodaya Vidyalaya principal and Bishnupur District Police officers.
Speaking on the occasion, commandant Chandra Shekhar expressed his happiness on getting this opportunity to fulfill the long-standing needs ' of the youth and children.
He assured that the Unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
On the other hand, the 86th Battalion of the CRPF conducted a Civic Action Programme at Khumji Part-V village in Noney district, under the aegis of Dr Vipul Kumar, IPS, IG Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF, and the supervision of Saurabh Kumar Choudhary, commandant 86th Battalion.
The programme commenced with a tribute to the late Dr Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India.
As part of the Civic Action Programme, solar streetlights were distributed to the residents of Khumji Part-V village.
Additionally, a meeting was convened with the youth and villagers to discuss community development initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, the chief Guest, Saurabh Kumar Choudhary, highlighted the significance of the distribution initiative.
He emphasised that the installation of solar streetlights aimed to improve living conditions, support the development of the village, and foster a positive relationship between the CRPF and the local community.
The event was attended by the villagers, including the chairman of Khumji Part-V village.
The chairman and local residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the 86th Battalion CRPF for its grand initiative, while also conveying hope for similar events in future.
